Welkom op de website van NTC-school Boekarest Roemenië “De Trekvogel”! Sinds 2009 verzorgt deze school taal- en cultuuronderwijs aan Nederlandse en Vlaamse kinderen in de leeftijd van 4 tot 12 jaar (groep 1 t/m 8).
Sinds maart 2020, begin van Covid, is “De Trekvogel” 100% hybride, wat wil zeggen dat de kinderen de lessen op locatie kunnen volgen maar ook gelijktijdig via zoom vanuit heel Roemenië, Moldavië en Servië.
De Nederlandse Taal- en Cultuurschool “De Trekvogel” in Boekarest is een NTC-locatie in de Amerikaanse Internationale School van Boekarest. (www.aisb.ro)
Het doel is om leerlingen zo goed mogelijk voor te bereiden op een terugkeer naar Nederland of Vlaanderen. De leerstof sluit daarom nauw aan bij het onderwijs in Nederland en Vlaanderen.
Het lesprogramma vormt een aanvulling op het onderwijs van de dagschool en vindt daarom plaats buiten de reguliere schooltijden; in de namiddag. Ook zijn er een paar zaterdagactiviteiten.
De NTC-school in Boekarest staat onder inspectie van het Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap en is lid van de Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs in het Buitenland (NOB).

NTC-school Bucharest – Dutch Language and culture school Bucharest.
Dutch children temporarily living overseas with their parents want to make the smoothest possible transition into the education system on their return to The Netherlands or Belgium.
Dutch parents who decide to live abroad for a brief or extended period usually take their children with them.
Many parents would like their children to receive a Dutch education during this time abroad.
There are currently more than 180 Dutch schools and educational facilities worldwide.
These have been set up by Dutch people or Dutch companies and organizations.
Teaching of Dutch language and culture
Nowadays parents more frequently opt for Dutch language and culture classes instead of a full Dutch primary school curriculum.
These lessons, often both primary and secondary education, are meant for Dutch children attending a local or international education program.
By attending these Dutch classes, children will be prevented from falling behind in their native language when returning to The Netherlands or Belgium.

The plan for secondary education is aimed at the Dutch state examination or another recognized certificate that formally includes Dutch.
